Make a book in under an hour
- 29th November 2017
Christmas: a source of unlimited joy combined with pure, unadulterated fear. What on earth do you get the friend who has everything or the parent who has given YOU everything?
Making someone a photo book is, quite simply, unlike any other gift, any other gesture. Entirely personal and completely from the heart, a photo book is an object they can pour over for years to come, bringing back all kinds of shared memories.
We are challenging people from all walks of life, each with different skills and styles, to create a book for a loved one in under an hour. Because we know time is limited, we know you don’t always take a lunch break and evenings are precious, but we also know you want to show someone you really do think the world of them.
Book designer Ella took on the challenge and made this amazing book documenting a trip to New York with her mother, an award-winning photographer. Bursting with pictures of incredible street life as well as personal photographs, you can practically smell the streets and feel the pulsing city.
Light Project Photography founders Samantha and Jess also created a beautiful photo book- an ode to their most valued employee ahem… Bill the Dachshund! Bill Murray is the first to get into work and the last to leave. He always comes with fresh ideas and a good attitude (as long as he’s fed that is...), and he puts a smile on everyone’s face.
A picture is worth a thousand words. And in this case, we think a book is worth a thousand pictures. So instead of vegging out in front of the TV tonight or spending that extra hour in the pub this weekend- get your pictures organized and give it a go….here's 10 tips on how to get started.
