Assembled in the Light
By Richard Nash
A collection of photographs celebrating west country churches and cathedrals. Showing the wide range of buildings from small Saxon chapels to majestic medieval cathedrals. These images demonstrate not just the contrast in scale of the buildings, but also some common characteristics, such as the skill of the craftsmen who built them, and the wonderful atmosphere and light within them.
The black and white images capture the beauty of the light and shade and the texture of the ancient stone.
The photographs were originally taken on medium format film and hand-printed in the darkroom.
