Book Description

Bears of the Carpathian is an image based book about the serious problems facing bears in Europe today and how some projects are trying to help the situation. The photos in the book show the positive results of one such project—to eradicate the illegal use of caged bears in Romania and to use the resulting Bear Sanctuary as a public awareness and education tool.
The book shows fascinating and intimate images of brown bears enjoying the freedom of a forest sanctuary after being rescued from appalling captive conditions.
