Pheriche and Everest Base Camp 1974
By John Winter

Book Description
In 1974 very few trekkers visited the Sherpa region, Khumbu, and Everest Base Camp. The area was pristine and unspoilt, as captured in the pictures in this book. The writer and photographer was researching altitude sickness on behalf of the Himalayan Rescue Association. During a visit to Everest Base Camp in connection with this research, a set of Yeti footprints and tracks mysteriously appeared on the icefall above Base Camp. Such tracks have been seen on only a handful of occasions in the past fifty years. The photographs which were taken are published for the first time in this book.
