At the start of 2020, the COVID-19 "Corona Virus" hit the UK as it spread around the world. The impact on our way of life was immediate and dramatic, the population were restricted in movement and contact. The daily norm taken for granted for so long vanished overnight. The definitions of what was essential, who was 'Key' and what was acceptable were exposed and changed in an instant. Everyone had to readjust their view of the world, both near and far; their view of themselves and those around them; their view of what was important.
This album is a collection of images from the Rosneath Peninsula taken during the early phase of the pandemic. These were taken during restricted exercise walks as society started to come to terms with the situation. The attached Haiku are an expression of thoughts during this period. I have attempted to match thought and image.
